Extensions of kindness transforms hair into a symbol of compassion and community. Through our initiative, donors who support causes they care about receive hand-painted hair extensions inspired by the communities they are uplifting.

A Growing Movement
What began as one hairstylist’s desire to give back is growing into a collective movement of artists using their talents for good. Together we hope to inspire more acts of kindness – one extension, one donation, and one meaningful connection at a time.

As the founder, that belief began for me, long before this organization even started. Giving back was simply part of the balance of life.
Growing up, my father taught me that acts of service and charitable giving is impactful and necessary. We often helped with collecting toy donations, rescuing animals, or supporting other organizations in our community. He showed me that kindness isn’t something we save for special occasions — it’s a responsibility we carry with us every day.
As a hairstylist who’s known for my vivid hair artistry, I’ve often wondered how I could use those skills to align with my father’s legacy. I wanted to find a small way to tell others there’s still hope, that they’re safe — not just here with me — but accepted, loved and celebrated within our communities.
Extensions of Kindness was created to turn compassion into something both visible and expressive: hand-painted hair extensions, inspired by meaningful causes. We hope this movement continues to encourage people to support organizations that are making a difference, while giving them a way to proudly wear what they stand for. When someone donates to a participating charity, they receive a custom extension, designed to represent the cause that they believe in — a small piece of art that can spark conversations, raise awareness, and remind us that kindness has the power to connect us.
Pride Month inspired these hand-painted extensions that represent the colors and histories of each of the LGBTQIA+ communities and their vibrant, recognizable pride flags. As Extensions of Kindness grows, our hope is to build a network of hairstylists and artists, who use their creativity to support a wide range of charities and causes that uplift, advocate for, and help provide community care for people in need.
My father’s legacy reminds me that generosity doesn’t have to be grandiose to be meaningful. Sometimes it is the smallest gestures that leave the most lasting impact. Today, that lesson lives on through every extension we create, every cause we support, and every difficult conversation that we inspire.
